I am the editor of The Wall, a breaking social news website. We currently have an Australian site , a US site and a UK site.

More information about The Wall is available in this article from The Age newspaper, Another click in the wall and social media is at your fingertips.

I am also a contributor to The Canberra Times and interested in data journalism.

Previously I was the business editor at news.com.au. Prior to that role, I \was a staff reporter at The Sydney Morning Herald and The Sun Herald. I have also freelanced for The Age and The Sunday Age.

I studied journalism under the wonderful John Henningham at JSchool in Brisbane.

In 2008, Fairfax Books published my first book, What The Mother Knew, about the murder of pregnant mother Jody Galante.

In 2004, a series I co-wrote in The Sunday Age with William Birnbauer about problems in the Victorian Department of Human Services, Crisis in care, received a special commendation at the Media Peace Awards of the United Nations Association of Australia and was a finalist at the 2004 Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission media awards.

This website outlines the key stories I have worked on. The blog collects some thoughts I’ve had about data journalism.
